The Amazon UPC Recognition System.

When listing an item on Amazon, Amazon takes the bar-code (UPC/EAN) and compares it with its database, if it doesn't exist then Amazon will register it and if it does, Amazon will compare the item with the details that were registered in the previous listings.
And here is where the problems begin.
For the most part, eBay does not require a unique UPC for each item but Amazon does, so if any of your items carry the same UPC as a different item (this includes variations as well, each one requires a unique UPC) then Amazon system might react in one of two ways.

  1. The item/s will be blocked and will not be listed on Amazon at all.

  2. The item/s will be listed, but they will carry the information of the first item carrying the UPC, this can be in the form of wrong size, image, color or title.

What Can I Do?

Well, there are a couple of options;

  • You will update your items on eBay, giving each one a unique UPC (we can provide you with the list of items)

  • We will delete the duplicated Bar-codes and provide them with legitimate ones.
    This part has a downside because we provide a finite number of bar-codes for free, and Amazon might not accept them because for some well-known brands, Amazon requires the original manufacturers Bar-codes and they won't accept our appointed bar-codes.

In any case, our team is fully experienced in these cases and are willing to help in all that is needed.
